Lisa Russ, Associate Recruiter, is very happy to be part of the team at Lynn Hazan & Associates. Lisa Russ has worked in professional communications, writing, marketing and direct sales for the majority of her career. She served as Director of Sales Operations with CBIZ Inc., a national accounting, tax and insurance services firm, providing comprehensive field sales support, CRM training and communications liaison to the executive team. She planned and executed sales conferences, women’s networking events and a multitude of other projects for a $186 million division of the company. She served on an internal Board designed to develop female professionals, attract and retain female talent, and provide networking and business synergy with women. Prior to CBIZ, Lisa worked in marketing for Sprint/North Supply and started her career in direct sales for Xerox Corporation.

Lisa has been involved with the Chicago community since returning from Kansas City in 2001, starting with The Rotary Club of Chicago (Rotary/One), the founding club of the world-wide organization. In her term as President in 2012-2013, she initiated the “Chicago Woman of the Year” lunch, which honors Chicago women for their service to the Chicago community. Among other roles, Lisa also served as Job 1 Chair, a program – now in its 12th year – which provides job skills training and a summer internship to qualified Chicago Public High School juniors and seniors. Lisa also works with Sacred Space International (SSI), an organization founded to promote understanding and education between the world’s religions via architecture. SSI was founded in 2001 by architect, Suzanne Morgan, Ambassador of the Parliament of the World’s Religions.

Lisa sings with the DePaul Community Chorus, and another small performing group, The Summer Singers. She serves as lector and eucharistic minister at St. Vincent de Paul church in Lincoln Park and is an avid reader and Chicago tourist. She has a B.A. from the University of Kansas and an M.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, both in English. She is a Chicago native who returned from a long stay in Kansas City, where she still has many dear friends and family.
