1. NSENG presents “How to create a win-win for a job placement with a talent recruiter” by LYNN HAZAN (executive recruiter)  plus networking.
Mon Jan 21 at the Glenview Library, 6:15-8:30pm
This meeting will provide a Talent Recruiter’s perspectives and how the recruiter creates win-win scenarios with both candidates and the hiring companies they represent. Learn why and how partnering with a recruiter or headhunter can advance your career and land you a position you want. Gain insights into relationship building and how it can pay off for you. Understand the ideal candidate profile and how you can become the “candidate of choice”.
During the presentation portion of our meeting, LYNN HAZAN, one of Chicago’s premier recruiters for 34 years, will share her perspectives that help job seekers address key questions such as:
  • How do I get on a recruiter’s radar screen?
  • How do I find a job in the hidden job market?
  • How do I greater create demand for my talent?
  • How can I compete against a younger workforce?
  • Why am I being overlooked?
  • What jobs are hot & trending and new areas of growth (including the Longevity Economy and the Gig Economy)?

During this session, Lynn will lead an interactive presentation that will focus on the new talent recruiting environment. Companies have become more picky with their candidate specs. The list of “must haves” in candidate skill sets has increased. There’s a widening gap between experienced, mature talent and younger, technology-based individuals. So what can a candidate do? That’s where Lynn can help and during her presentation she will focus on how candidates can:

  • Leverage their career-long talent and relationships to get noticed.
  • Add value for a potential employer.
  • Keep up to date with changing technology and client needs.
  • Uncover the “hidden job market”.
  • Effectively identify, develop and market your unique value proposition.
All meeting attendees will be entitled to a discount on one of Lynn’s workshops. There will also be a special drawing where one individual will win a free hour of job search consulting from Lynn (valued at $150).
