Are you a talented Financial Marketing Professional with 8-10+ years of experience? Do you have Digital Marketing experience working for financial investment companies in Wealth Management? Do you have B2C and B2B experience with digital lead generation of individual investors for RIAs and funded accounts, financial institutions, and/or brokerage companies? Have a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial mindset?

Become a CMO for a division of a well-established investment services company. You’ll supervise a staff of 3.


Do you live in the Chicago area or want to relocate to Chicago? If so, relocation support will be provided. Opportunity to work virtually as well.


Client is a Chicago-based investment services firm with high growth expectations within the year. Clients are individuals and institutional investors. CMO will create a new marketing department. Will provide the vision and strategy to build the department, manage the budget, hire staff, & achieve profitability.



  • Prior digital marketing experience for financial investment firms in wealth management

  • Experience in retail lead generation of individual investors for RIAs for wealth management

  • Experience with funded accounts

  • Must have 8-10+ years of experience

  • Comes from a financial investment firm of AUM (Assets Under Management) between $2 Billion and $10 Billion

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Enjoys hiring and building a department

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • 30-40% – Digital campaigns, email, marketing, content campaigns

  • 20% – Create marketing strategies & direction, future thinking

  • 20% – Build out metrics, KPI, budget, management, stakeholder relations

  • 20% – Interface with internal and external stakeholders, teams, and communicate with CEO and C-Suite

  • Supervise a 4-5 person marketing department

  • 90% is B2C: targeting individual investors
  • 10% is B2B: targeting RIAs
  • Manage a budget of $1 Million per year
  • Lead new account acquisition efforts

  • Work with sales manager(s) and registered account reps
