Summary

Do you enjoy working closely with doctors and physicians by coordinating outreach programs on behalf of President & Officers? Are you highly detail oriented and have strong project management skills? Thrive on planning events and working on wide variety of assignments? Maintain high professional standards of excellence?

Outreach Manager will build membership pipeline of physicians-in-training, provide basic design services to internal customers, help develop positive public image & provide support to Communications Division. Interact on a regular basis with President and Board members. Excellent benefits.

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in healthcare or insurance-related organization highly desired. 

Preferred:

  • Excellent: Organizational skills. Must be service-oriented, well organized & able to work under deadline. Strong written & oral communication skills required. 
  • Familiar with Canva or Adobe and Constant Contact.
  • Able to:
    • Pay attention to detail.  
    • Work quickly, creatively, independently & competently on multiple concurrent assignments in fast-paced environment.

  • Professional & tactful demeanor. Interest in working with media and growing PR skills.
  • Team player. Multi tasker. Excellent computer skills required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

50% outreach, 20% Media, 15% Publications, 15% Other Projects

  • Provide staff support for multiple sections within assn. including recruiting & event planning.
  • Cultivate & communicate with external contacts to develop & maintain year-round schedule of outreach opportunities for President.
  • Handle scheduling & related logistics, including travel & local media contacts for outreach visits & events attended by the President & other Officers.
  • Provide support to Council on Communications & Membership Advocacy,  Assemble & mail agenda materials, draft minutes, reports, etc.
  • Participate in planning & execution of events including annual meeting.
  • General support for Communication Division, includes to:
    • Coordinate & track paid subscriptions to publications & services.
    • Manage coordination of communications’ division budget.
    • Manage external vendor relationships related to stock media assets.
    • Handle correspondence with billing of current, past & potential advertisers.
    • Maintain contact lists (mail, fax, & e-mail) for media, publications, etc.
    • Manage news clips.
    • Initiate basic design projects with understanding of how to present print resources in professional manner.
    • Handle blast fax/e-mail releases to news media, & fax distribution of publications to members & policyholders, as needed.
    • Serve as backup to compile materials for weekly & quarterly leadership meetings.
    • Support Communications Director & Chief Administrative Officer with communications & governance programming.
    • Assist Chief Administrative Officer with support for State delegation to health care assn.
    • Special projects as assigned.
