Client is a Med Ed Agency specializing in design, development, & launch of medical branding/positioning for Pharma & Medical Device companies.
Agency provides strategic solutions in life sciences, medical device launches, & interactive content development. Works in multimedia development to highlight patient stories & training materials for sales reps and MSLs.
COMPETENCIES:
2+ years medical writing experience at a sales training institution, trade association, professional association, or Med Comm agency focusing on educational materials
Minimum of BA/BS in Life Science, medicine, or pharmacology
Advanced Degree (PhD, MS, PharmD, etc.) is desired, but not necessary
Trained in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or biotechnology sales
Has experience teaching, being a healthcare provider (physician, nurse, doctor, pharmacist, etc.)
Can write in different multimedia formats & understands instructional design principles
Familiar with clinical research principles
Strong work flow in both independent & collaborative environments
Awareness of constructive criticism & able to rework content to better fit clients’ needs
Professionally & positively represent company values & the clients’ brands at all times
Able to balance many projects in single time period & meet all deadlines
Skilled in American Medical Association style guide
Excellent written & oral communication skills; mastery in Microsoft Office Suite
Skilled in Adobe Programs, including Acrobat
Access to virtual meeting platforms: WebEx, Zoom, Microsoft teams, Skype Business, Adobe Connect, & ToGo Meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall writing responsibilities: 90% for sales reps, 10% Medical Science Liaison
Projects include:
75% writing for e-learning (includes video & audio)
15% workshops
10% video, podcasts & other deliverables
No publications. No speaker bureaus.
Create training materials for sales reps is an ongoing responsibility
Projects are diverse, spanning from pre-launch to post-launch positions of a brand lifecycle, across multiple audiences
Collaborate with team members (accounts, project managers. artists, writers, designers, editors, programmers, & developers) to ensure communications accurately meet clients’ needs
Consult with clients & subject matter experts to perfect content
Opportunity to occasionally participate in sales presentations, delivery & development
Attend status meetings with other departments to ensure progress is on track & deadlines are anticipated
Requires occasional travel to client meetings (post COVID)
